Mailclient user guide

Mailclient is Wolf-Cloud's browser-based mailbox for reading, organizing, and sending email. You do not need to install an app. Open the Wolf-Cloud Mailclient sign-in page and sign in with your normal Wolf-Cloud mailbox username and password.

Your mailbox is your account

Mailclient does not have a separate password. If your mailbox password changes, use the new password the next time you sign in.

Start here

  1. Open the Wolf-Cloud Mailclient sign-in page.
  2. Enter your full Wolf-Cloud email address.
  3. Enter your mailbox password and select Sign in.
  4. Complete the second verification step if prompted.

On your first successful sign-in, Mailclient creates your preferences automatically. Your existing server folders and messages then appear in the mailbox.

What you can do

  • Read, search, filter, star, move, archive, and delete messages
  • Compose mail with To, Cc, Bcc, a signature, and attachments
  • Create and remove your own mail folders
  • Sync Nextcloud contacts and calendars, browse contacts, and edit events
  • Use synced contacts for recipient suggestions while composing
  • Choose how often Mailclient checks for new messages
  • Turn on browser notifications and an undo-send period
  • Use an authenticator app or passkey for additional sign-in security
  • Review sign-in history and sign out other devices
  • Switch between light and dark appearance

Before you begin

Use a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. JavaScript and cookies must be enabled. Passkeys require a browser and device that support WebAuthn; browser notifications also require your permission.

Mailclient works on desktop and mobile screens. On a narrow screen, use the menu button to open the folder sidebar and the back control to return from a message to the list.
