Troubleshooting
I cannot sign in
- Confirm you are using your full Wolf-Cloud email address.
- Test the same credentials in another supported Wolf-Cloud mail client.
- If the password was recently changed, sign out fully and try the new one.
- Check Caps Lock and remove accidental spaces.
- Wait before retrying after several failures; temporary rate limiting protects the account.
If the credentials work elsewhere but not in Mailclient, email sysadmin@wolf-cloud.com with the time of the attempt and the exact on-screen error. Do not send your password or verification codes.
If you still know your current password, change it at password.wolf-cloud.com or with Settings > Security > Change password. If you have forgotten it, email sysadmin@wolf-cloud.com for assistance.
My verification method does not work
For authenticator codes, set the phone's date and time to automatic and enter a newly generated code. Codes expire quickly and cannot be reused.
For passkeys, use the browser profile or device where the passkey is stored, unlock the device, and allow the browser prompt. If it fails, choose another available method such as an authenticator or recovery code.
Emailed codes can be delayed or filtered. Check Spam, request a new code only after waiting briefly, and use the newest code. Repeated requests are limited. If no recovery method is available, email sysadmin@wolf-cloud.com.
New messages do not appear
- Select the refresh control.
- Clear the search and select All.
- Check Inbox, Spam, Trash, and custom folders.
- Confirm the automatic interval under Settings > Reading & sync.
- Sign out and back in if the session has stopped connecting after a password change.
Mailclient displays what the mail server provides. Compare with another mail client before reporting a missing message.
Search misses a message
Search applies only to the open folder and combines with the selected All, Unread, or Starred filter. Open the likely folder, choose All, and search again with fewer or more distinctive words.
Browser notifications do not appear
- Enable Show a browser notification when new mail arrives under Settings > Reading & sync and save.
- Allow notifications for the Mailclient site in browser settings.
- Check operating-system focus, do-not-disturb, and notification settings.
- Keep Mailclient open in a browser tab.
Browsers may reduce background activity in sleeping or battery-saving tabs. Notifications are a convenience and should not be treated as guaranteed mail delivery alerts.
An attachment or message will not open
Wolf-Cloud sets maximum message and remote-image sizes. The sender's file may also be incomplete, blocked by the browser, or malformed. Try downloading the attachment, check the browser download list, or open the message in another supported mail client. Only open attachments you trust.
Remote images remain blocked
Remote images require an explicit load action and must pass Mailclient's safety checks. Images from private network addresses, unsafe destinations, oversized files, or unreachable hosts will remain unavailable. This does not affect the text of the message or normal file attachments.
Sent, Archive, Trash, or another folder is missing
Mailclient discovers folders from the mail server. The server may use a different folder name or may not have created the folder yet. Send a test message or compare the folders in another mail client, then email sysadmin@wolf-cloud.com to check the server folder configuration.
A message was deleted unexpectedly
Check Trash first. Also check Settings > Folders: when Delete messages permanently instead of moving them to Trash is enabled, deleted messages bypass Trash. Deletion from Trash is permanent.
The session expired
For security, Mailclient ends sessions after an idle period and after a maximum total lifetime. Sign in again. Draft text may not survive an expired session, so copy long work before re-authenticating if the page has been open for a long time.
Information to include in a support request
Send support requests to sysadmin@wolf-cloud.com.
Provide:
- The approximate date and time, including time zone
- The page and action that failed
- The exact error text
- Browser and operating-system versions
- Whether the problem also occurs in a private browsing window or another supported browser
Never include your mailbox password, authenticator secret, passkey data, recovery codes, or emailed verification codes.
